Training and Equipment

Youth players have a minimum of one 90 minute training session per week. At the end of 2015 the Club introduced its Young Lions Youth Academy for Youth players and goal keepers in addition to normal training.

Pre Season

Pre season training is essential for Youth teams as they need to be ready to perform competitively in the first fixtures of the season.  This squad training usually starts early February.

Every player must be fully registered prior to commencing training with the Club because unregistered players may not be covered by insurance.

Weekly Training Sessions

Training for Youth Players varies to that of Junior players in as much as Teams will train on the night(s)\times that are most convenient to the Coach and unfortunately very little consideration can be given to a player’s availability. Generally all Players in the same Age Group will train on the same night(s) in a squad consisting of other players of that age group.

Players and expected to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the commencement of each training session so they are ready to start on time.

Equipment

Players must have correct playing equipment.

Playing jerseys are provided by the Club, but these are kept as a set during the season to ensure even wear and maintain numbered sets.

Players are expected to arrive at matches wearing Club Polo and Spray Jackets. The Club offers a range of other clothing, training gear and accessories on the KLUFC Online Store.  These items can be ordered online and then collected from the Clubrooms on Saturday Morning from the Kiosk.

Players and parents need to familiarise themselves with the FFT Rules and KLUFC Policy  relating to Spectacles, Hair fastenings, Plaster and fibre-glass casts, Jewellery and Players mobile phones.
