The senior arm of the Kingborough Lions United Football Club caters for both male and female players. The Club strives to have teams playing in the highest possible competitions in Southern Tasmania while recognising the need to cater for players who wish to participate at a “social level”. The competitions are under the umbrella of Football Federation Tasmania and all competitions are run in accordance with FIFA Regulations. The club is delighted to announce the next exciting stage of its Young Lions program - the Young Lions NPL Youth Academy - will be commencing on October 19th. . This program provides a clear pathway for players to develop to play at the NPL (boys) or SCW (girls), giving the club a complete development pathway from Under 5 to NPL/WNPL level Seniors.
This year's Kingborough Lions United Football Club dinner was held at Salamanca lnn on Saturday 26th September 2015. Thanks to our great sponsors and to Eleanor Coleman and her team of volunteers for their hard work organising the event. Congratulations to all members who attended and to award winners .
Young Lions SAP and Discovery Registrations are open for Cycle 4 2015! This cycle sees the program extending its efforts, providing girls with all Girl sessions and All Girl SAP Festival teams, and changes to the Discovery program to extend the skill training component for younger players!!
The third Statewide Skill Acquisition Festival for 2015 was held at Churchill Park, Launceston over the weekend of 19/20 September. Young Lions fielded an all girls team, Under 12, Under 10/11 and Under 9 (combined with Olympia SAP) teams.
Recently the Kingborough Lions United Football Club held their Junior presentations at the Kingborough Sports Centre. It was a great opportunity to acknowledge the work of our team coaches, managers, game leaders as well as the enthusiasm of our Junior playing group.
