Kingborough Lions United FC signs Zoë Horgan

Zoë has come to the Lions from Taroona FC, where she won the club’s 2018 Best and Fairest.

Zoë has been committed to State programs since 2012, captaining the state girls in 2014 and being part of the NTC team that won the Southern Championship in 2015. In 2016 she followed on with a season with the Olympia FC Warriors, winning both the Southern Championship and Super League titles. In 2017 Zoë captained the NTC Tasmanian team and played for Taroona in the WSL for two seasons.

“I really like the vision the club has for where they are working to get to with the junior programs and mens/women’s teams”, Zoë said, “I feel supported in my personal development, with the Club providing opportunities for me to push myself with daily training with the WSL and also Men’s programs each week. I can't wait to give my all with the super league squad and I'm excited to take on the hard work to come …”

“It is exciting to have a player of Zoë’s calibre and energy join our young squad. She has already had a positive impact in pre-season preparations.”, said WSL Head Coach Simon Edwards, “She will play a big role in our midfield lineup this season and mentoring other players at the Club. We will be working closely with Zoë to ensure she is challenged and to ensure her football ambitions have every chance of success in years to come.”

The Club appreciates the continuing support of the Female Program sponsors StLukes Health, Tassal and Unica Wealth Management into the 2019 season.
