Kingborough Lions United FC appoints Greg Calvert as NPL Head Coach

Greg is a former senior coach of the club and brings a clear understanding of how the club works, its culture and future ambitions. Since his previous stint as the senior coach, Greg has continued to build his skills and experience as a coach and will bring a wealth of experience into the NPL program and broader club environment for 2019 and beyond .

Over the coming weeks, the club and Greg will finalise the NPL coaching team and arrangements for the upcoming 2019 season and make this information available.

 

“It’s exciting to be re-joining the club as Senior Coach. I know a lot of fantastic people here from my time as a player and coach over the past 30 years. The committee & I have had some frank discussions regarding where the club is at, what it’s aspirations are and what’s required to make these happen and I am determined to work with the club to build sustained success” said Calvert.

 

The club would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mark Broadbent for all his work and efforts over the last two NPL seasons. Mark has put a considerable amount of time and investment into the senior NPL program and the club would like to thank Mark for these services. The club and Mark have both decided to pursue different opportunities for 2019, and the club would like to wish Mark all the best in these future endeavours.
