First Junior Skills Clinics a Great Success

Last Sunday our first Junior Skills Clinics were held at Lightwood Park (see Photos from Clinic Day).

The age groups were split into smaller groups with the Under 6, 7, 8, and 9’s being the first session and the second session catering for the Under 10, 11 and 12’s.

These sessions had approximately 90 players come along and participate.  They were taken through drills to help develop their football skills and gently introduce them to the season ahead.  The players had the biggest smiles on their faces that you could hope for, where they were obviously having a fantastic time.  The weather was perfect as well, which helped to make it really enjoyable for all that took part.

Thanks goes to Tim Dale who ran the clinics with the valuable assistance of senior players and coaches; Adam Coleman, Geoff Freeman, Chase McConnon Tom MacDonald and Simeon Thomas-Wilson.  It was great to see the Senior arm of the club involved with the Juniors and not only mentoring the younger ones, but inspiring them too.

The next sessions are scheduled for Sunday 1st April.  See the Junior Skills Clinic Flyer for further information
