Training and Equipment

Following the finalisation of teams, all coaches will contact players to advise training times and venues. Coaches will advise families of training cancellation arrangements at their first training session.

Training

Training days and dates are dependent on the coach’s availability and usually start one to two weeks prior to the beginning of the season. You will be notified of these times by your coach once teams have been finalised.

Training will be at either of the club’s grounds at Lightwood Park at Lightwood Drive, Kingston, and Gormley Park at Gormley Drive, Kingston. In some cases training will be at selected School ovals.

The Club would appreciate all players being ready to start the training session at the designated time and being collected promptly following training. This is to help maximise the benefits gained from a full training session.

Equipment

All players must wear suitable clothing together with soccer boots and shin pads (covered) to each training session. A warm change of clothing is also advisable. It is also recommended that all players bring a drink bottle, even if it is for immediately after the training session, as it is thirsty work!

Strips

The Club provides all players with a playing shirt. Please be advised that playing shirts are only to be worn at matches and are not to be used for training sessions. The Club also insists that all playing shirts are to be kept together as a team kit for the whole season. Players are required to provide black shorts, black socks and shin pads with mouth guards being considered optional.
